yoga teachings

when we say no, we open up the possibility for yes. and vice versa. do we need to stand up for ourselves and draw the line. if so, in this process, we open up the possiblity to say yes for something else.

i often shake my head at my ability to be binary: good/bad, right/wrong, in/out. i tend to see these views as weaknesses and not necessary strengths. however, i see now that this can be ok when used with yes and no. i see these two on a circle, almost. where yes is a the top, no is at the bottom and there are curved arrowed lines which link them. from no to yes and from yes to no. i'm sure i could even stop half way and have a maybe.
